Silicone Skin kit uses the same silicone mix as the 1st-pc skin.
Mix 100% by weight Base to 10% by weight Activator. (use a kitchen scale w/ 1gram accuracy)
Use Naptha to clean the work area.
Allow 16 hours to cure. Moisture will accelerate the curing time. If you are in a dry area, you will need to steam up the place to aid in the curing time.
After mixing, the silicone will start to cure in about 45min, The consistency will start to be like heavy honey. You can start to sculp the silicone to a point but do this quick because it will get harder to trowel around.
Note: Regarding 1st-pc silicone;
The silicone will be abit hard after demold. This will soften in a month or so. Once the silicone softens, it will stay that way for a long time. Pls be careful when straching or compressing the silicone, as it may tear |
